The Quality Assurance Technician will perform duties to test raw materials, work in process and finished goods to ensure predetermined specifications and company quality standards are maintained.

Job Requirements

HS Diploma or GED required

5-10 years of management experience

Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Photoshop and Illustrator

Fluency with Esko Automation Engine, WebCenter, and ArtPro+

Good understanding of color management, including Extended Color Gamut

Knowledge of pressSIGN and G7 certification a plus

Ability to lift 10 - 15 pounds continuously with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Must have good visual acuity

Quality Assurance Supervisor opening with a new and quickly expanding

healthcare and consumer packaging printer in Bristol, PA. This position will be a key role in this company reporting to the VP of Quality Assurance and has the potential for advancement opportunities. Relocation assistance is available. Preference for experience within packaging and pharmaceuticals.


You will manage, plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all activities and QA staff to ensure that Quality support is present on the production floor. Necessary and critical functions include but are not limited to documentation review and issuance along with prompt resolution and Quality oversight over production ensuring compliance with site and corporate standards. You will support to improve safety, customer satisfaction, employee development, continuous improvement, and financial performance consistent with Plant goals. You will make important decisions in ensuring the deviations are investigated, alerts resolved, complaints examined, and product dispositioned promptly. You will report to the Vice President, Quality Assurance.

Prepare the department for both internal and external authorities during audits ensuring facility is always audit ready

Provide necessary floor support to the production teams and help in resolving compliance concerns.

Responsible for change control activities/documentation in QMS. Required to perform review of submission documents.

Maintain Supplier Qualification program

Ensure deviations and non-conformances are initiated, investigated, and closed.

Support generation and approval of manufacturing documents (SOP's/WI, Forms)

Participate / lead teams which impact production, increase efficiency, solve problems, create cost savings, improve quality, and provide new product support.

Manage relationship with Third Party Testing Labs, Vendors of Equipment and Calibration, suppliers

Performs other job duties as assigned


Education and Background

Bachelor’s Degree in science preferred or combination of education and working knowledge

5 + Years’ experience in pharmaceutical, packaging, or similar regulated industry

2+ years direct/indirect supervisory experience and/or leading a team or process

Working knowledge of cGMPs, ISO standards and production processes.

Ability to work autonomously applying strong problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills are needed to manage support personnel.

Can navigate through CERM (ERP) and QISS (QMS)

Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 35 lbs

*Material handler--70% up to 90% of this position will consist of using a forklift to move very heavy materials. Forklift certified is ideal.

Job Requirements

An extensive background required in operating a Flexographic Printing Press in a very detail-oriented manner.

Experience (5+years) in setting up and running multiple colors on any Flexo Printing Presses. For example Mark Andy, 830, 2200, LP3000, P5/P7 series, Webtron, or Comco Probe-Glide, Comco commander, or any other Flexographic Presses.

Color matching is a plus, especially custom colors, and those familiar with the usage of PMS guides.

Locally-owned label printing company in Houston looking for 2 to 3 experienced flexo press operators on 1st shift. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30am – 3pm or 7:30am – 4pm, but can vary slightly. Paid holidays + personal days after 90 days of Full-Time employment. $22-$27 per hour DOE.

Company produces labels, tags, coupons, custom adhesives, in-house and offline variable imprinting and continuous roll labels (up to 10 colors, up to 20"wide and 24" long). Climate controlled facility.


- Efficient set up and operation of a flexographic press while printing labels to specifications

- Ensure quality is maintained in a consistent manner

- Perform line clearances/end of roll inspection during production runs

- Perform routine maintenance of the press and tools as required

- Set up and operate press for production runs adjusting speed and alignment of stock, as necessary.

- Read job order and load dies, print cylinders and other tools as needed in press.

- Troubleshoot and repair press when required and within reason

- Work directly with management on product quality and process improvement challenges

- This position requires exceptional quality and will always be held accountable to company and industry standards

- Fill ink pans and pumps with inks per call outs on job order or proofs.

- Produce jobs at high quality and in a timely manner with minimal waste.

- Determine, follow and accurately record job order details for production such as stock notes, color notes, color

sequences, anilox/BCM, etc.

- Engage print cylinders, adjust printing impression as necessary

- Obtain representative and accurate approvals from printed rolls by management, inspect product for imperfections such

as print to print out of register, print to die out of register, missing impression, ink starvation or color adjustments and

adjust as necessary

- Clean plates, print cylinders, tooling and press area as needed. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance as

required.

- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations w/in the warehouse.

- Complete all other duties and tasks as requested by management.

Growing printing company located on Long Island is  hiring an experienced Production Supervisor with background working in narrow web flexo. Duties will be to oversee the daily production workflow. Looking for a candidate who is very "hands-on" with knowledge of flexo printing presses, supervisory experience, trouble shooting, general maintenance and basic computer skills. Experience with presses such as Nilpeter and Schiavi presses preferred but any experience in flexo, gravure, letterpress or offset will be considered.


Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of the production process and production workers to ensure safety and quality of finished goods.
